History: One night, in 1658, Lace was sitting in her parlour with her mother, when she was attacked by John. Her mother was killed, and Lace was dragged to a mountain side where she was created to be a companion to the vampire. After realizing what she was, she thanked him, knowing that she could finally get away from her life as the town girl who all the boys chased after (she's similar to Rosalie).
Ever since she has traveled around with John. They are "brother" and "sister" but have an unbreakable, loving bond. They are essentially two halves of the same soul.

History: In 1618, John was attacked by a female vampire. She wanted him to be her mate, and he almost agreed, but had a sudden urge to find someone. So he destroyed the female vampire and searched for the girl who would later join him in immortality. In 1658 he found her, and followed her for six months before finally taking her.
